<p> Eckold Limited was founded in the Autumn of 1980 after trading from Alfred Herbert's premises in Coventry for many years.<span style="line-height:1.5;">Walter Eckold was founded in 1936 in Wemigerode after his departure from Junkers aircraft.</span><span style="line-height:1.5;">In 1948 the company moved to St. Andreasberg in Germany (parent company). In 1957 he founded Eckold AG in&nbsp;Trimmis in Switzerland (sister company)&nbsp;There are now agents worldwide able to service the globe. &nbsp;</span><span style="line-height:1.5;">Eckold are renowned for there world famous Kraftformer range of Sheet Metal Shaping Machinery and the&nbsp;Clinching range of Metal Joining Machinery and Tooling.</span><span style="line-height:1.5;">In the early 1990's Eckold Ltd started to diversify into other areas of interest, this included a wide range of&nbsp;Gas Springs and Dampers&nbsp;being introduced&nbsp;into their program, followed by the further addition of quality products for the&nbsp;Commercial Vehicle and Engineering Hardware sectors.</span><span style="line-height:1.5;">The most recent innovation in 2006 was the acquisition of TI and its manufacturing facility.
